After the redesign, completed bookings increased by 42% and checkout drop-off fell significantly. Mobile conversion more than doubled, validating the decision to rebuild the flow from the user's perspective rather than the system's.
Project Overview
The original booking flow asked too much of users too early. Selecting a date, picking a time, choosing a service, entering details — each screen was a potential exit point. On mobile, the drop-off was particularly steep, and the team had the data to prove it.
The work balanced conversion strategy, clear information architecture, and performance optimization so the site could support business growth immediately after launch.
Approach
Funnel Audit
We walked every step of the booking flow and tracked exactly where users were leaving. A few friction points were responsible for the majority of abandonment — and they were fixable.
UX Redesign
We rebuilt the reservation path as a progressive experience: one clear action per screen, smart defaults, and CTAs that matched what users were actually ready to do at each stage.
Engineering
Availability logic was rewritten to be faster and more reliable. State management was simplified so that incomplete sessions could be recovered without losing user progress.
Optimization
Post-launch, we analyzed real booking behavior and iterated on copy, default time-slot selection, and calendar presentation. Each change was small — and measurable.
